Essential Productivity Certificate
The Krause Center for Innovation at Foothill College and the Milpitas Unified School District have teamed up to offer you an opportunity for professional development in educational technology. The Essential Productivity series are courses that will help you develop proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, Google Tools, Blogs, Wikis, best utilization of the PC computer, and the management of technology in the classroom.
Over a two-year period, participants will complete three online classes, two face-to-face classes per quarter during the 2009-2010 school year, an , and two classes per quarter during the 2010-2011school year. Participants who complete all of the coursework over the two-year period receive 12 quarter units (8 semester units) of Foothill College credit toward salary advancement, as well as a Technology Certificate.
Location, Days, and Times
Room 701 Computer Lab at the District Office.
Each class runs Tuesday and Thursday, then again on the following Tuesday.
4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on both afternoons.
**Please note:
The online class Integrating Technology into a Standards Based Curriculum will no longer be offered.
Adobe Acrobat I (1 unit) will be offered instead during Spring Quarter.
How to Register
1. Go to Foothill.edu
2. Register as a new Foothill College student
3. Get a Foothill ID number
4. Email Steven Caringella, at scaringe@musd.org, with your home address, phone number, email address, and Foothill ID number.
